What was new in books fifty years ago?


According to the September 19th, 1960 edition of the New YorkTimes, Louis Auchincloss released his novel, The House of Five Talents.  Auchincloss died at the long lived age of 92 this past January, but not before publishing more than 60 books! 




Interestingly enough, he was a Wall Street lawyer who wrote about the New York elite.  Check out his obituary for some truly interesting facts about this well accomplished author!
