Word of the Week: Tergiversate

As in: “During the Second World War when the Communists had to tergiversate due to the Hitler-Stalin pact and Hitler’s subsequent attack on the Soviet Union, they lost the respect of all other leftists and found it difficult to recover credibility after the war.” (Kulke & Rothermund, 1998, p. 300)
