Tip of the Week: October 15th

Need to find resources for your research papers?

Start your research by looking at the Library’s Research Guides in the middle of the Library’s homepage, which list resources by subject, course number, and topics of interest.

You may wish to begin researching with the Multidisciplinary Databases since they contain articles covering many different subjects. To access them, click on Research Guides, and then select Multidisciplinary Databases from the drop-down list.

Academic Search Premier is a comprehensive multidisciplinary database. Limit your results in Academic Search Premier to scholarly (peer reviewed) journals.

Progress to subject-specific databases such as those listed under Sociology or Education

Check out the “FAQ: How do I find articles using the Library’s online databases?” [link to http://library.emmanuel.edu/sp/subjects/faq.php?faq_id=2] for more information on searching databases and forming search strings, and using databases off campus.

Feel free to visit the reference librarians in the Reading Room for help with your research.
