Featured Database: ATLA Religion Database

–    This American Theological Library Association Religion database provides citations to journal articles, book reviews, and essays in “Biblical studies, world religions, church history, and religious perspectives on social issues,” with coverage from 1949 and as far back as the 19th century for some journals. Click on the Check for Full Text link found with the article citations to determine if the resource is available through one of the Library’s subscription databases.

–    Special search features include:

  • Scriptures search option, which may be accessed from the top menu and provides a mode to search by a particular book, chapter, or verse in the Bible.
  • Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals from the limiter options.

–    Access the ATLA Religion Database by using the Quick Links to Library Resources drop-down menu or the A -Z List of Databases link on the Library Homepage.
Use the Research Guides link on the Library Homepage to explore article databases by specific subjects including other Theology & Religious Studies subject-specific databases.
