Profile of H. Genevieve Lynch
Throughout 2013, in order to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the Class of 1923, there will be alumnae profiles of women who graduated in that year. These profiles are drawn from the Epilogue and interviews conducted with the women on the occasion of their 60th class reunion and originally published in the Emmanuel Quarterly in the fall of 1983.
H. Genevieve Lynch was raised and educated in Marlboro, Massachusetts as one of the six children of Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah J. Lynch. Ms. Lynch began her college career at Simmons College where she studied librarianship, but eventually transferred to Emmanuel College where she studied French and was the class historian. After graduating from Emmanuel Ms. Lynch earned a Master’s Degree from Boston University and then spent forty-two (42) years teaching English and French in Boston.
